UCLA releases a report on Tactical Transit lanes.

The Institute of Transportation studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, has developed a report about best practices in tactical transit lanes.

Tactical transit lanes are low-cost reconfigurations of streets to make them friendlier for all citizens. This report includes some successful case studies from the US.

They include the Bus Rapid Transit project in Everett, Massachusetts, consisting of the reconfiguration of one of the lanes for buses only. This reconfiguration involves the adaptation of the bus stops to the new nature of the street.

ZICLA tactical UCLA releases a report on Tactical Transit lanes. 1Moreover, in order to improve the accessibility of the bus stops, in 2018 the city of Everett installed our  Vectorial® platforms in two of its bus stops.

It should be stressed that the success of the project of Everett had served as inspiration for the Boston Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), which is currently in the spotlight.
