ZICLA’s commitment to building a cycling culture in the US.

23 May, 2020 | OPINION | 0 comments

The COVID-19 emergency has disrupted our daily life in many ways. However, one thing will remain unchanged: ZICLA’s commitment to building a cycling culture in the US.

During this emergency, cities across the country are experiencing an increase in biking due to recommendations to avoid public transit for health and safety reasons. Car trips are down, bike usage is up. To ensure these are not momentary gains for safe streets, we will continue to support the League of American Bicyclists and city-level advocacy groups, such as Bike Houston or San Francisco Bicycle Coalition.

Being on a bike is something everyone should be able to enjoy, no matter where they live or what their income is. We are confident that we will get through the current situation together and that we will be back on our bikes again soon
